Flying To England From Kyiv International Airport: What To Remember

If you fly from Ukraine to England, the following information is for you: the flights from Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport (IEV) to Luton (England) take off twice a week, each Tuesday and Saturday. The flights Kyiv – Luton are performed by the Hungarian carrier, WizzAir.

What you need to know: When entering England, Ukrainian citizens vaccinated against COVID-19 must carry the vaccination certificate issued in English that conforms that the certificate holder has received full course (two doses) of COVID-19 vaccination with any currently available vaccine.

In case if no vaccination certificate is available, the England entry regulations require negative PCR-test and 10-day self-quarantine.

The COVID-19 test must be taken within 72 hours before the border crossing. The test must be performed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique or equivalent diagnostic standard.

The country also requires 10-day self-quarantine for individuals travelling across the border and filling of online form, where the traveler must specify his or her contact details, information about the place of stay during self-quarantine and booking reference numbers for COVID-19 test booked before arrival.

From February 15th, the travelers must also take COVID-19 tests at your oun expence on the 2nd and the 8th day of self-quarantine after arrival in England. Such COVID-19 tests must be booked in advance before arrival in the country.

Transit passengers through the United Kingdom must fill the Public Health Passenger Locator Form. The Form is available at https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk and must be submitted to the immigration service upon registration after arrival.

The stores and entities in the United Kingdom are open from 09:00 am or 10:00 am to 05:30 pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, the stores and entities outside of London and other major cities are closed or work reduced business hours.

The operation of pubs and restaurants, open spaces, beauty salons and fitness centers in the country is resumed in the end of April. The public transport operates according to the schedule and without any restrictions. Face-mask and social distancing regime is in effect in the transport and the public venues. No mandatory requirements are applicable generally in the streets.

The quarantine restrictions apply to all travelers arriving in the country:

  • Tourists;
  • UK citizens; 
  • UK residents; 
  • Military servicemen;
  • Public officials;
  • Children above 11 years old;
  • Airline pilots and crew members.
