The La Bellota

In the Arms of Tempranillo.

If you have only 15 minutes to go to a restaurant, go to the La Bellota.

The La Bellota crew knows what “the boarding is in a while, give us what you have” is. They understand how important it is that “what you have” is a proper, just-prepared dish of fresh products. And they won’t let their guest go on the plane hungry. “After all, the plane is just the beginning,” the La Bellota warns cautiously. After the flight, there will be a new place, new relocations, and new tasks. And all this is much easier and more enjoyable, when the journey begins with a proper… breakfast, for example. “And a proper breakfast is a proper calculation,” says Anton Korabel, a restaurant expert.

“For the breakfast, we serve, for example, tender cheese pancakes: protein for the body, carbohydrates for the energy supply, high spirits for a successful trip,” says Anton Korabel, Deputy Director of the La Bellota. “Or hearty scrambled eggs with bacon to stay full for the rest of the day. This is especially important for guests going on the business trips. We are serving some light salads for the girls. And some delicious slabs of meat for the boys. We use only fresh products to prepare our dishes – no precooked foods! – and we prepare them very quickly: it will take our guest 15 minutes to have lunch or breakfast consisting of a good-quality restaurant dish”.

If you have more time between the flights, it is only for the better, the La Bellota is convinced. They will distract the kids with the table football (we think that older passengers enjoy it more than the younger ones) and offer adults a wine list: for intimate dinners, pleasing lunches and… uplifting breakfasts.

Yes, you will be offered some wine here for the breakfast as well, the “morning” one: light, red wine, or “tempranillo” in Spanish, and this is a big deal! Tempranillo ripens a few weeks earlier than the rest of the grape varieties. It has a thick skin and is rich in anthocyanins. Although tempranillo doesn't have his own bright bouquet, it became the basis for many of the best wines of Spain and Portugal. Wines containing tempranillo have a wide range of aromas: from strawberries, currants and cherries to prunes, chocolate and tobacco. The first – berry flavors – are typical of tempranillo grown in cooler areas. Flat, overripe specimens are from the hot and plain La Mancha. Exquisite tones of vanilla and coconut appear as a result of maturation in the oak barrels – the traditional choice of Rioja winemakers.

Lunch wine Campo Viejo Reserva is definitely the coziest transition from noon to evening. This rich and round wine made from tempranillo, with traces of oak and fruit, vanilla and light tobacco tone, with the aroma of spices, condiments, and wild berries, of dark pomegranate color with coral glares is the best beginning of a marvelous evening, the impression of which you will take with you on the plane.

Tempranillo wines at the La Bellota are too wonderful to be ignored!
